Our Approach

We teach film shooting to photographers who are serious about using it as a powerful tool that gets you better, more discerning clients, or if you just want to hone your film shooting for yourself. You can do any type of photography, weddings, portraits, commercial, family, nature, animal etc.

__________

We don’t teach trends, we teach real skills with film that we don’t see in other workshops. How to use lighting properly with film, the importance of proper metering, what different cameras and lenses can do for you, how film emulsion works to get the look you’re going for and so much more. We teach how to shoot film stress free in a job situation like weddings or portraits and how to use digital cameras alongside film because we are working professionals who do it. We also troubleshoot your portfolio and help you perfect the things you want to get just right in your current and even future work. We provide portfolio support for up to a year after the workshop.

___________

We teach with decades of professional film shooting experience. You need to know and understand the “rules” of photography in order to break them. The reason your film work is inconsistent or just not quite what you want it to be is probably because you never learned the foundations, and there are way too many “famous” people out there teaching stuff about film that’s just flat out wrong. Being an excellent photographer means you ignore trends and instead hone your craft to create your own trends.

__________

If you put into practice what we teach in the workshops, you should be producing noticeably better and more crafted work within 1-2 months that will blow clients away and can absolutely be the reason you get hired. It works for us!
